Arnaud CACHIA is full Professor (PR EX) at Université Paris Cité in cognitive neurosciences .  He conducts his research at the Laboratory for the Psychology of Child Development and Education (UMR CNRS 8240) in collaboration with the 'Imaging biomarker of brain development and disorders' (UMR INSERM 1266) .

His research aims at deciphering the neurodevelopmental bases of cognition, in normal and pathological conditions.  He is interested in 1) the early stage of brain development during fetal life and its long-term effects on cognition and 2) the complementary late neuroplasticity mechanisms. He has investigated the neurodevelopmental foundations of 1) clinical symptoms in psychiatric and neurogenetic disorders and 2) cognition in healthy participants. More recently, he tries to integrate the early and late neurodevelopment with environment (e.g. SES) and genetic factors.

Such works, at the junction of cognitive and developmental neurosciences and psychology, open original and complementary translational issues in both medicine and education.
